Q.  Should I take Yum-V’s probiotics daily or only when on antibiotics?
A.  Our probiotics  should be taken once a day to maintain your body’s intestinal balance.  The good bacteria in our probiotics works against occasional digestive upsets caused by stress, changes in diet and travel.  Probiotics also help strengthen the immune system, 70% of which reside in the digestive system. Probiotics are especially needed and effective in introducing healthy bacteria when you are taking antibiotics, which kill the good bacteria as well as the bad bacteria in your system.

Q.  What is the dosage recommendation for your probiotic?
A.  Yum-V’s Probiotics should  be taken once a day to ensure your system has good bacteria.  When on antibiotics, take 1 piece twice daily, one hour before or after taking medication and continue for 2-3 weeks after completing the prescribed antibiotic dosage.

Probiotics and Antibiotics
Antibiotics work to destroy the bad bacteria in the intestinal tract. However they also destroy the healthy bacteria, leaving your child vulnerable to intestinal upsets.

Probiotics replenish the body’s healthy bacteria and help restore the immune system, 70% of which resides in your intestinal tract.

C. diff is a bacteria that affects many people who are taking antibiotics and occurs when the intestines’ good bacteria is destroyed by the antibiotics.

C. diff can lead to diarrhea and severe stomach upsets. Clinical studies have shown that taking probiotics while on antibiotics will rebalance the bacteria in the intestines and help prevent a C. diff. infection.
